This is a great thriller-reminded me of The Eye of The Needle in it's pace and intrigue. With the passing of his father, law professor Tal is sent on a hunt for his father's "arrangements". Standing in his way are his wife, who is about to be nominated for a seat on the Supreme Court, law school colleagues (some who are friendly and some who are not), his messed up family, shadowy figures and a reputed mob boss. There are so many twists and turns and multiple plot lines that it would be impossible to mention them all-suffice it to say Stephen L. Carter juggles them all and ties them all together beautifully. No story lines are left hanging, and all are plausible. A fantastic read!
