The Three Musketeers By: Alexandre Dumas

The last time I read this was about 40 years ago and I remember being enthralled with all the swashbuckling adventure of it all.  Reading now was a whole new experience.  The satire, the humor and Dumas' brilliant dialogue are truly astounding.  It is quite easy to see why this is a classic!

Dark Pines By: Will Dean

Will Dean has an amazing capacity to make wide open spaces seem incredibly suffocating!  A Large sprawling forest, several dead bodies, a road on the edge of the forest populated with quirky/creepy characters and a protagonist who just won't quite all add up to a dark and twisted thriller that will stay with you long after you've finished!

Mama's Boy By: Dustin Lance Black

A loving, honest, moving memoir of a man and his mother, of two Americas and a hopeful future. Beautifully written, and refreshing honest, this is a wonderful and innovative memoir!

The Mirror & The Light By: Hilary Mantel

I'm so sad that this is the last book in this series.  Mantel's writing is simply gorgeous!  Since this is history, I knew what was going to happen at the end, and yet I found myself wishing/hoping for a different ending.  This is writing at it's finest!
