Hustlers and Con Men By: Jay Robert Nash

I found this absolutely fascinating. It's amazing to me what people (individually and collectively) fell for, and sadly still fall for today. Looking at things from an economical, sociological, geographical and emotional stand point, it is understandable how these cons could be pulled off.  I wonder what the author and/or any of the con artists would think about fax, email and phone scams now-because sadly these kinds of scams are still happening.

Oh what fun this was!  For fans of the Golden Girls you will delight in hearing those 4 familiar voices while you read, and chuckle at the endless Easter eggs throughout.  It's also a really fun cozy mystery in and of itself!

Another action packed , twisted tail from Brad Thor.  Scot Harvath is pulled into an intriguing game of cat and mouse that runs around the globe.  This 23rd installment in this serious is just as fresh and exciting as when the series first started.

The Institute By: Stephen King

There is a reason Stephen King is referred to as a Master Storyteller, and The Institute is a shining example of his extraordinary talent.  Exquisite character development, extraordinary plots all pull you in from the first page. The Institute is a horrifying place, the children who populate it are special, in more ways than one.  Stretching from the deep woods of Maine to the middle of no where South Caroline, the Institute is horrifying and exhilarating. 

 

Dear Debbie By: Freida McFadden

Freida McFadden is the Mistress of the Twist!  This revenge filled thiller is full of creativity, humor and characters with secrets, but none as jaw dropping as the twists reveal!!!  Despite being a thriller, this was a joy to read, and I bow to the Mistress of the Twist! 

Absolute Power By: David Baldacci

This is Baldacci's first novel and it's easy to see how/why he became in international bestseller!  This was an indicated plotted story with lots of characters and lots of plot lines, yet it was incredibly easy to follow and kept me on the edge of my seat. The twists and turns in this thriller were exciting and extremely satisfying.  A great read!
