Reads like a pulp novel from the 30's; set in the early 60's and sadly completely relevant in the 2020's! Harry Ingram, a no nonsense photographer and part time process server has a number of mysteries to solve in this twisty thriller, against the backdrop of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s upcoming rally in downtown LA. Ingram is an endless fascinating character and his relationship with Anita Claire is charming, amusing and real. I can't beleive I've not read any of Phillip's work until now-this won't be the last!
