Send on a mission by a dead man, to discover/deliver justice, with no clue as to who, what, where, when or how...and 20,000 pounds will be her reward. And thus begins Nemesis. An ingenious tale proving why Agatha Christie is the best!
I'm so blessed to be be friends with a number of authors who trust me with their book babies! Oh, what a treat is in store for fans of this cozy series when this book is released next year! A twisted tale with mystery piled upon mystery awaits our intrepid hero!
While the setting was written well enough to evoke the small town I grew up in and seemed quaint and charming, the same can't be said for the rest of this cozy. I didn't get a sense of who the main characters were-nothing about them stood out and grabbed my attention. So pretty scenery...yes, quirky, interesting characters...meh, well plotted mystery...nope! Nothing about how the murder or the investigation or the reveal was remotely believable, and not everything was explained. It fell completely flat and felt rushed. This read more like a first draft than a finished product.
I LOVE the graphic novels of the Storm series. So excited that the next installment will be a 5 comic series. This was such a brilliant idea!
Every time I read this brilliant novel I notice something new. This extraordinary story just keeps on giving. If you haven't read it, you must!
Another twisted tale of intrigue, murder and international concerns from Abdul-Jabbar & Waterhouse. Two seemingly unconnected mysteries have Myrcoft and Sherlock on different paths, until the very end when their paths cross and the mysteries mesh. A great read!!
Although a bit long, I felt this was a fitting conclusion to this series. The majority of the story lines were wrapped up, plenty of action and plenty of heart. I'd still like to know more about Angela, but (if you read the acknowledgements like I do), that isn't going to happen-which in a way leaves the door open should Mr. Paolini wish to return to this wonderful world which he created!
So lucky to get to read books before they are published!!!!!
Fans of this series are in for a real treat when this is published! By far, this is my favorite in the series! The twists and turns are lightening fast and no one is who they appear to be in this tightly plotted mystery!
WOW! A stunning read! Family, unconditional love, a mother's grief versus a father's grief. Hamnet is a riveting and moving story originally told and full of heart. Just, WOW!
