Iron Lake By: William Kent Krueger

A great thriller with an abundance of history on Native America.  Haunting descriptions of the landscape add an extra layer and character to this great novel.  A perfect way to set up this series, and Cork is a great anti-hero.  Really a treasure of a book that I'm so glad a friend gave me!

Friend's Manuscipt: Book 3 in a series

I'm so lucky that I have friends who are also authors!  This manuscript will be the 3rd installment of a great series that has it's first book out (as of April) and the second due out in August.  Provided there are no major changes, the 3rd will be a brilliant addition to the series that picks up right where the second one left off.

Out of the Black By: John Rector

Well, apparently I really liked this because I read it in a day, and still managed a full day at work!  A taught thriller that will keep you as tense, confused and sacred as it's hero.  A great read!

Yarned and Dangerous By: Sadie Hartwell

Great set-up for a series!  A lot of fun to read, if a little predictable.  As a person who does needlecrafts, this one was especially exciting to dive into, and Josie is a great character.

Opportunity Knocks By: Alison Sweeney

A fictionalized behind the scenes look at the Hollywood scene.  Filled with characters you'll root for and character's you want to slap, this romp through the Alex's life as a freelance make-up artist is great fun!

Dispatches From The Edge: A Memoir of War, Disasters and Survival By: Anderson Cooper

Written with an ease that belies the power of the images he's seen, Cooper takes you to the heart of the disaster's he's covered while he comes to grips with the disaster's he's personally learning to deal with.

Night Road By: Brendan DuBois

The best of intentions lead several characters down the road to redemption, and they all converge in the dark, backwoods of the North Country of New Hampshire.  A thrill ride, that has you rooting for the "bad guys"...or are they?!

Look Alive Twenty-Five By: Janet Evanovich

Another fun Romp with Stephanie and Lula in New Jersey, as they navigate a creepy magician, a deli and "alien" abductions.  You know-a typical week in Stephanie's life.

A fantastic look back at the stars of the film industry, at the very start of the film industry.  It was really cool to see all these great stars of yesteryear in gorgeous photos!

I always knew about the Hurricane of '38, but to see pictures and read the reporting of it, truly puts in to perspective what the devastation was like for the state of Rhode Island (where many of my relatives  live and lived through this devastating storm).

1 short stories all in the inimitable Christie style.  A great number of them remind me of the radio program Suspense; due to the twist ending showing that karma is a bitch!

Live and Let Chai By: Bree Baker

What a fun new series!  Everly is a great, impulsive heroine and the denizens of Charm are charming.  This one grabbed me from the get go and I look forward to the next book in the series (and to find out who the detective's mother-in-law is!).  Well written and flows nicely-it will be over too soon and leave you wanting more.

Taken at the Flood By: Agatha Christie

Full of twists and turns, to keep you guessing.  Taken at the flood looks at some nasty family intrigue!  Great read!
